Blood type AB

The Mystery

Calm, rational, and harder to read than you think.

Type AB is the rarest group and the stereotype leans into that: a cool, rational person with a hidden artistic side, who mixes the carefulness of A with the independence of B. Friends describe them as fair, a little aloof and surprisingly funny once you know them.

✦ Strengths

  • Sees both sides of an argument and stays calm in conflict
  • Combines analytical thinking with an eye for design or art
  • Respects other people's boundaries

△ Watch out for

  • Keeps feelings to themselves until they suddenly withdraw
  • Can seem cold or distant to new people
  • Mood can switch between social and needing solitude

Type AB in love

Type AB is said to love thoughtfully and with some distance. They need a partner who respects their alone time and does not take quiet moods personally. Once they trust someone, they are considerate and quietly devoted.

Type AB at work

Type AB fits roles that reward clear thinking and independence: analysis, design, research. They are the colleague who calmly points out the flaw in the plan. Office politics bore them.

Type AB in Korea and Japan

Because only about 1 in 10 people in Korea and Japan are type AB, the stereotype is part genius, part eccentric. A popular Korean joke calls AB "a genius or a weirdo", which most AB people are happy to accept.
